Citizens and business entities are provided several services, permissions and other related documents pertaining to respective buildings / properties by the various departments in BMC. For a particular building, BMC maintains records / documents generated across various departments, such as Building Proposal, Property Tax, Water Dept, Health Dept, Shop & Establishment Dept, Trade License Dept, Fire Dept, SWM, etc. Citizens pay property tax, water supply charges, apply for new / renew their licenses, procure NOCs, register complaints, or even seek services such as trimming of trees within the compound of the building society, etc. The entire documentation is recorded using various reference numbers pertaining to each concerned department.

In Mumbai, there are more than 2.3 lac buildings assessed by BMC for property tax. Each of these buildings has been assigned unique 15 digit Section Account Code (SAC) No. for assessing property tax. More than 1.5 lac of these assessed buildings are already plotted on the digital map.

This MyBMC Building ID platform is an endeavour to create a single ID, attached to each assessed building in Mumbai shown on user friendly map. The various IDs in use by various departments in BMC, such as CCNs, CTS No., License / Registration Numbers, etc. will get integrated with the MyBMC Building ID. This will facilitate accessing services / documents of various departments through MyBMC Building ID as the unique reference number of that building.

Under a centralised initiative, various on-field staff across departments will start linking respective document reference nos. to the appropriate MyBMC Building ID of buildings / units basis required evaluation and review. This will be a continuous process.
The capabilities enhancements and enrichment to this platform will constantly evolve.

For the moment, as part of the initial beta launch, you may kindly locate your building, download your MyBMC Building ID sticker and paste it in your building to get familiar with it. Over time, this unique MyBMC Building ID will be useful for several key interactions and transactions with BMC
