The salient features of the Mumbai Coastal Road Projects are:
- The project cost of the Coastal Road Project is Rs. 12,721/- Cr. (excluding rehabilitation, acquisition & landscaping)
- Length of Road: 10.58 Km
- Number of Lane: 8(4+4)
- Road on Reclamation: 4.35 KM
- Tunnel: Length of twin tunnel:3.45 Km, 11 Mt. internal diameter(3 lane each)
- Underground Car Parking: 03, Total no. of car: 1856
- Total Reclamation area: 111 Ha
- Area for recreational purpose: 70 Ha
- Interchanges:03, Length of interchanges: 15.66 KM
- Promenade: 8.55 KM
- Dedicated BRTS Lane
- Sea Wall: 7.47 KM
The work of Mumbai Coastal Road Project(South) is divided into three packages and Letter of Acceptances have been issued to the contractors of each packages in October 2018 after approval of the statutory committee of the corporation to appoint the contractors for this work.
